Basement Windows Replacement

For basement windows that are old, rusty, and installed on a metal frame that hasn’t been waterproofed, a replacement will be the best option instead of repairing them. Doing so will provide a dry basement and be more energy efficient. In addition, removing the metal frame and installing the window properly, then correctly sealing it to the concrete, guarantees a future without water leaks and seepage.

Steps for Replacing the Window Well

  1. The old metal frame is removed

  2. The window is leveled

  3. The void between the window and concrete, the foundation wall, filled with insulation spray foam sealant

  4. Polyurethane caulking sealant is used to prevent leaks between the window and the concrete
